Our Commitment to Zanzibar

Zanzibar is often reduced to a static image of white sand and turquoise water. While that beauty is real, it is only the surface.

We believe that tourism should be a bridge, not a wall - a way to support the people who make this island what it is, rather than making them invisible.

For us, "responsible travel" isn't a marketing buzzword; it is our operational standard. We work to ensure that tourism acts as a lever for autonomy for the local community, rather than creating a cycle of dependency.

How We Create Change?

Our impact is built on three fundamental pillars that guide every journey we design:

  • Co-Creation with Locals: We don't just "book" tours; we build them through conversations with the farmers, artisans, and guides who carry the island's culture. This ensures your experience is shaped by those who live it.

  • Fair Redistribution: We prioritize long-term collaborations and pay fair prices to our local partners. Our goal is to empower locals to feel the true value of their work and their heritage.

  • Cultural Preservation: By focusing on "depth" over "standard" tourism, we help keep local traditions alive and protect them from being replaced by European standards.

Every excursion you book with us contributes directly to a greater purpose. A portion of our revenue supports the Tumbili Foundation, an organization dedicated to locally-led empowerment projects.

We have been involved with this initiative since its inception six years ago. Our philosophy is simple: we do not work in place of the community; we work with them.

Current Major Project: The Nkweshoo Maternity Clinic

In partnership with the Holcim Foundation, the Tumbili Foundation is currently constructing a maternity clinic on the slopes of Kilimanjaro. This facility will provide rural women with essential care, from pregnancy through follow-up support, bridging a critical gap in local healthcare.
